Makueni County Aka Housing Cooperative Society Ltd was registered as a women’s cooperative on 5th September 2012 by the Ministry of Cooperative Development and Marketing under the Cooperative Society’s Act whose aim is to explore investment opportunities at the Konza Techno City, in Makueni county and the entire country. The Cooperative objective is to empower the women of Makueni through economic and social activities geared towards wealth creation, investment, women & youth mentorship, advocacy and development programmes.
To economically Empower Women of Makueni County and help improve their lives.
Members of the Cooperative Society are women from Makueni County. The current shareholders stand at 200 and have more than 600 members. The Society is run by the Executive Management Committee whose operations are monitored by a Supervisory Committee.
